  Argentina again requests UN Secretary General's good offices in the Malvinas sovereignty dispute

  

  Ahead of his address to the United Nations Special Decolonization Committee, C24, this Thursday, demanding sovereignty talks with the United Kingdom over the Falkland Islands sovereignty, Argentine foreign minister Santiago Cafiero met on Wednesday with US Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

  Falklands elected government rejects point blank Argentina's threatening and bullying tactics

  

  The Falkland Islands elected Government on Monday publicly expressed its disappointment with the Argentine government regarding its determined intent to escalate their sovereignty claim over the Islands and continue harassing the people of the Falklands.   With 17 non-self-governing territories remaining worldwide, United Nations chief Antonio Guterres has said that decolonization is a process that has to be guided by the aspirations and needs of the communities living in the territories.
