  Spain and Britain on Monday signed a fiscal treaty on Gibraltar as Brexit nears to fight tax fraud and money laundering via the British overseas territory. Hailed as “massively significant” by Gibraltar's leader, Fabian Picardo, it was signed separately by Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell and David Lidington, Prime Minister Theresa May's effective deputy.

  World gigabyte costs: India the cheapest and Falklands among the most expensive

  

  A study into the amount people pay for mobile data has found that the UK has some of the most expensive prices in Europe. Likewise the Falkland Islands and Saint Helena figure among the five worst cases in the site Cable.co.uk. The research found that one gigabyte (GB) of data cost $0.26 (£0.20) in India but $6.66 in the UK, and US$ 47.39 in the Falklands.

  Madrid unilaterally extends protection for (400.000) Britons living in Spain

  

  Spain's cabinet has approved measures for Britons in Spain to continue living there as now if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. Foreign Minister Josep Borrell said the main purpose was that no-one, British or Spanish, would be left unprotected. Spain estimates that the measures, which would become law under a no-deal Brexit, would grant residency rights to about 400,000 UK citizens.

  Mars rover work-out controlled in Chile from more 11.000km away in UK

  

  A space control center in the UK has been used to test-drive a prototype Mars rover thousands of miles away in Chile’s Atacama desert. Experts at the European Space Agency’s centre in Oxfordshire completed a series of tests across nearly 11,000 km in order to see how the Mars rover reacts to commands across large distances.
