  US now demands all foreigners be vaccinated to enter the country

  

  The Government of the United States has announced that effective Jan. 22, foreigners wishing to cross into the country by land or by boat from Canada will also be required to submit proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

  Aerolíneas Argentinas announces return of daily flights to Madrid

  

  Starting in the coming month of April, Aerolineas Argentinas will resume its daily flights between Buenos Aires' Ezeiza airport to the Adolfo Suárez-Barajas terminal in Madrid. The frequency had been interrupted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis.

  Latam Airlines drops 777s to the US out of fear of 5G interferences

  

  Latam Airlines has agreed to follow Boeing's advice and not use the 777 models for its services between Brazil and the United States to avoid problems stemming from 5G cell phone antennas which may interfere with navigation gear.

  Europe and the Americas tourism rebounded in 2021, but still below 2019 pre-pandemic level, WTO report

  

  Global tourism experienced a 4% upturn in 2021, compared to 2020 (415 million versus 400 million). However, international tourist arrivals (overnight visitors) were still 72% below the pre-pandemic year of 2019, according to preliminary estimates by United Nations World Tourism Organization, WTO. This follows on from 2020, the worst year on record for tourism when international arrivals decreased by 73%.

  Guayaquil welcomes first cruise ship of the season with 11 COVID-19 cases

  

  Passengers of the Silver Whisper cruise ship were not allowed to go ashore by themselves in Guayaquil after 11 of the 228 travelers tested positive for COVID-19, it was announced. The first cruise ship of the 2021-2022 season moored in Guayaquil Tuesday.
