Punta Arenas cruise season: 27 vessels on tours of Antarctica

The Punta Arenas port management company, in the extreme south of Chile, has offered a timetable of cruise vessel activities during the first two weeks of February. According to the program, eleven calls are scheduled in the two weeks to 15 February. Until Sunday 6 February six cruise vessels were effectively called.

Europe and the Americas tourism rebounded in 2021, but still below 2019 pre-pandemic level, WTO report

Global tourism experienced a 4% upturn in 2021, compared to 2020 (415 million versus 400 million). However, international tourist arrivals (overnight visitors) were still 72% below the pre-pandemic year of 2019, according to preliminary estimates by United Nations World Tourism Organization, WTO. This follows on from 2020, the worst year on record for tourism when international arrivals decreased by 73%.
