Joint tourist promotion

Argentina and Uruguay Ministers of Tourism Daniel Scioli and Pedro Bordaberry signed a “Memorandum of understanding” by which they commit both countries to a joint promotion of the area and its attractions “without loosing national identity”.

United States said it was “deeply concerned” with the violent incidents of last week in Bolivia involving police forces and the Army that have left at least twenty seven dead and much damage to property as a result of “civilian vandalism”.
