    “inciting rebellion
now where have I heard that before, but i must say to everyone, especially those that have not seen these ships, I have visited [HMS Victory] and stood under that main pole, and believe me I would not want to climb up there, looks to bloody dangerous, others on here that have served with the navy may well have climbed up these things,
so will know first hand what it is like, these cadets have my sympathy,

I think the mast on victory would be about the same size. Yeah, it's massive certanly something you wouldn't want to climb a few days after your friend fell off it and died.

Hardly a “rebellion” though, is it?

Having been through almost identical training in the 1960s, I believe that the cadets involved knew precisely what they had VOLUNTEERED for and had no business refusing to go aloft, regardless of their story or fears. All involved deserved to be removed from training and to pay their own way back to Germany. Call me old fashioned.

In most of the World’s Countries, the military law is perfectly clear.

A soldier has the duty to obey lawful orders.
A soldier has the duty to disobey unlawful orders.

    No excuses …….No exceptions…….. No way out……

What you are saying Artillero 601 is nonsense

    “Later” means usually “to late”

Anybody that served in the Military knows that.
