Jan 25th, 2011 - 02:15 am - Link - Report abuse 0I was being sarcastic, but i agree, Palestine appears to be the one trying the most. I even found some Palestine products in the co-op, some really nice olice oil, nice to see some inititives working in the west bank for the farmers there.

Jan 25th, 2011 - 02:27 am - Link - Report abuse 0Interesting, I didn't even know Palestine exported anything. I do know that Israeli settlers export orange juice and some other farming products from the land they occupy, something that is not allowed under the international law.
Jan 25th, 2011 - 02:33 am - Link - Report abuse 0well its strictly west bank at the moment as Fatah have control there and they are on better terms with Israel, gaza strip the incentives have been rejected by the Hamas.

Jan 25th, 2011 - 02:02 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Israel has signed FTAs with certain Latin American countries - for instance, Chile and the Mercosur nations. An FTA with Israel was a big issue in Mercosur. Israel had signed the treaty with Mercosur in 2006; the Brazilian Senate, however, only ratified it by 2010. The reason for the delay was that Israel was ilegally exporting products from the occupied areas.
A presidential candidate for the Brazilian elections in past year mentioned this issue in an interview:

This is Chile's reaction to the same issue:

It's about time people start seen the light, lets see if other nations follow the this example.
