    If there is agreement between the EU Commission and Mercosur, but the EU Parliament disagrees, is there an Agreement? . . . . . and do the countries of Europe have to operate within the Agreement?

    Ahhh, the big question. Can the elected European Parliament triumph over the unelected, dictatorial, totalitarian European Commission? Thing is that the Commission are a sneaky, devious bunch of bas***ds. Unless the Parliament passes a motion on the lines of “If the Commission concludes an accord with Mercosur, the EU will be dissolved”.

    Yes, it is a core question - one the EU and its members are scared whitless by its implications.
    But it is highly important in the real politik of negotiations between the EU and beyond.
