What a lovely government we have,
Give em time, give em time,

They would sell your grandmother to save a few quid,

A government disgrace and a false impression to our enemy’s.

    Still,
    2015 gets closer and closer.
and the pussycat, meows just as loud,

    .

@3 Marcos - What are the largest vessels in Argentina's navy? Would they happen to be Type 42 destroyers by any chance?

Marcos you numpty they are for sale not scrap read the article, they are fantastic ships I served on York for five years, well looked after they could go on for another ten to fifteen years, maybe Brazil would be interested they already have 4 of our T22 frigates, that would piss off turkey neck. @3 JP they're one remaining 42 (the other was canabilised to keep the other running) has down minimal time at sea for years now.

In Argentina, when they 'sell' a warship it must be for scrap as their vessels are either so old or non-functioning that it is only only scrap merchants who are interested.

You can easily see why someone as deluded about reality such as 2) would be confused.

    LOL

Argentina just hulks its old ships as even the scrap metal dealers aren't interested.
The two reasons being that all the valuable non-ferrous scrap has long since been stolen by the crew in lieu of wages and as a result they are incapable of steaming to the breakers.
