I think we'd miss her but I'm doubtful she'd win again in 2015 the way things are panning out. There seems to be an assumption that if she is allowed to stand then she'd win. It'd take a lot of Falklands bashing to stir the population enough to ignore everything else.

#3 Don't hold your breath on your comments. That's what many said about her in 2009. If she were to run today against her opposition she would win with 50-55% of the votes in her favor. There is no certainty that she will even be able to run. If a right winger wins, the position on the Malvinas will get even tougher.

Tougher in what respect? Whinging even louder? The current efforts aren't really affecting the Falklands that much. There's little that will as they've never been allowed to integrate with South America.

It will be more aggressive. With respect to flights, military investment, regional integration, against oil exploration, etc, etc.

“We know that the president is totally in agreement with a constitutional reform; in fact with her husband the late Nestor Kirchner they repeatedly implemented it when they ruled in the province of Santa Cruz, so this is not something out of the blue”, said Mario Barletta.

... are they completely stupid! At least Putin had the dignity NOT to do it to continue in power without a break! Even he knew it lacks credibility ... and thats saying something!

And they call themselves a democracy (!) ... this current constitutional position was purposely input to prevent this type of continuing power!

But they have to re-elect her, how else can Argentina hope to maintain its wealth and status without her, and retain its important place on the world stage........? Oh wait......

She will be in office again. Notice I did not say reelected. There seems to be a total disregard and disrespect to the concept of a constitution. While every nation can change it. In sa it is the rule and not the exception. Notice how every ruler down there changes the constitution when they take power. They tear off a new sheet from the roll of constitutional paper.
Any constitutional changes should only effect the next elected official and never the incumbent if they wish their democracy to at least “appear” credible.

They get ill of power, like her husband. So ill of power, they really think that nobody can do things like they do.
Nothing could be worse following this economy, that is bothering so much and many people. Printing money and thieving have seen this movie beforeeeee
Justice they afraid of justice, now they buy it, but then...

I hope she does get in but I somehow doubt it.

Don't forget devaluation by the end of 2013 is not that far from 2015.

But should she get in again there will be a complete and utter crash shortly after because she cannot resist screwing with the economy.

I'm in two minds about this, I do think Kirchners stand in the Falklands is laughable and to quote the Paraguayan defence minister “fanatical”. But I don't think she will ever dare try and take the islands by force, maybe someone new would have a go at that and it's a case of better the Turkey you know. What is certain is that she is running the Argentine economy into the ground and that is a good thing and long may it continue.

---Any constitutional changes should only effect the next elected official and never the incumbent if they wish their democracy to at least “appear” credible---

    exactly

The constitution is more important than any individual. THATS THE WHOLE POINT!!!

Also it shows a massive lack of confidence in the Argentine political system if they really believe this woman can run Argentina better than anyone else - WHEN YOU CONSIDER THE STATE THE COUNTRY IS IN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

Democracy is dead in Argentina too bad it only last a few years. I think it is because they are too stupid and corrupt but that is just a guess.

Argentina is now the World's top protectionist country and a country that has more international trade disputes running than any other country. Argentina is also regarded as a pariah state by international money lenders so when the dollars run out the peso will have to be devalued and the Argentine public will be robbed again. lol.

What a lovely picture, who wouldn't want more of such beauty and loveliness for as many terms as possible?! And more importantly, who better to continue the progressive policies that Argentina and the rest of this world need?
