The branch of Argentina’s organized labour that supports President Cristina Fernandez gave the government forty days to raise the income tax floor, which with double digit inflation is including an ever increasing number of wage earners. Read full article

Of course, when all those companies leave Argentina, there won't be workers any more, will there?
Fancy that, a Union threatening the government, and these are the so-called 'loyal' unions.
TICK-TOCK Cristina. The people are waking up to the reality of your economic miracle.
#2 Lol if the companies leave!
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 10:05 am - Link - Report abuse 0what Argentina won't have is UK and US companies, there will be enough cheap labour left behind to extract resources to ship stuff to China, Pakistan and India. The only problem is going to be watching UK and USA having to accept that people around the world won't give into terrorists or bully's anymore. You are right about one thing the freedom in Argentina is amazing when a group of thugs can threat a democratic elected government.

It's nice to know just how much YOU value the Argentine worker. I'm sure they'd all be thrilled that you want to reduce the standard of living of them and their families to below the poverty line.
And you, Pirat-hunter, that loves Argentina SOOOO much that you won't live there, and apparently want to destroy it completely.
How VERY patriotic of you.
Tell you what, put your money where your mouth is. Return to Argentina and become one of the cheap (poor) labourers. Tell us how easy it is to live of 13 peso's per day.
The government of Argentina was elected to improve the lives of the citizens, not to turn them into 'slave labour', and reduce their standard of living to nothing.
By the way, those 'thugs' you talk about our the ones that actually support the Argentine Government. If the government treat them like sh!t, they'll respond in kind.
Up the workers revolution! You're all for socialism, aren't you PH?

@Pirat-Hunter
Thanks to those corporate and monopoly companies the Argentina people have JOBS.
Get it, got it, good.
No, you missed the point. CFK is losing her union supporters, and many are declaring that they will NOT support another term for her.
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 01:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Populist strategy is to reward your supporters with something, or they'll revolt.
(unless you declare a war...)
The first warning shot has been fired by the Union loyal to TMBOA!
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 01:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0And this character was actively encouraged by TMBOA to destroy the unity of the CGT and ‘come over to my side’. What a twat.
You can only subjugate the masses for so long, even the deluded ones in AG. Another few of these mishaps and the blood may well flow outside the Casa Rosada.
In the puddle pirates worls, Argentines do not work, they are supported by government handouts. Where cuntina kirchner will get her money from according to the puddle pirate.......he'll make something up that sounds brillant in his schizoprenic/scoiopathic mind.

Oct 22nd, 2012 - 02:31 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You should sell your strategy to CFK before peddling it here.
Representatives of Argentina, including President Christina Fernandez de Kirchner and Miguel Galuccio, CEO of the country's largest energy company, YPF, have come to the U.S. seeking $5 billion of direct investment in Argentina's energy sector by American companies. YPF also hopes to raise another $7 billion on Wall Street.

To all the Flying Monkeys of the Mad Witch from the South:
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 03:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Your Queen on her last trip to New York, had an important meeting with the leader of a small oil company named ExxonMobil... I do not know what they discussed, but it seemed to be not to tell the. Americans to get out of your country...
The real threat to your Queen is actually your own countrymen that will eventually vote in the upcoming elections. (I'm sure she'll be somehow on the ballot) but, as I posted earlier: Someone like www.mauriciomacri.com.ar/ is going defeat CFK. You can always manipulate elections and “stuff ballot boxes” but there comes a point where even that will not work. Right now, CFK has lost many supporters, including those representing the unions. Let's hope she comes up with another strategy/show such as another health issue or... Threat against national security... Perhaps invade Paraguay and free you neighbors from a corrupt government... The idea of good governance path does not seem practical, unless she resigns due to “health issues” and devotes her remaining life in a Venezula convent as a nun...
RUN FOREST!!!!! RUN!!!!!

who says so.
why she does of course..
@1 A good idea for CFK is to tax argie ex-pats. Individuals that can only be classed as tax evaders. CFK must know who's outside the country. And they likely have a greater income than most people inside argieland. So tax them. And, since there are undoubtedly dollars involved somewhere, add that 15% surcharge. Only right that such people make a proper contribution to the most progressive country in the world!
Oct 22nd, 2012 - 06:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@3 Just as a matter of interest, your government recently sent a squad that it referred to as a political mission to try to bully the government of Ghana into overturning the 25-page judgement of its Superior Court that was made for perfectly valid, legal, legitimate reasons. At the same time, your government is continuing to try to bully the Falkland Islands into giving up the land they've owned for over 300 years. What's the difference between argie bullying and any other bullying?
@10 Are you sure that article was actually about argieland? Could it have been a typographical error? As we all know, argieland is THE leader in open, honest, transparent, freedom-loving, democratic countries with a government to match. How could anyone say such things?
@11 You seem to have a very negative view. Once the argie navy and marines have invaded Ghana for their cutting-out expedition and fitted the nuclear propulsion system to the Libertad......... Rushed back to argieland, loaded up the army, invaded and pacified the Falklands........Invaded Chile to recover the islands in the Beagle Channel........Conquered the United States........Subjugated China.....and India.....and, finally, agreed a peace treaty with the UK, provided CFK replaces the Security Council as sole arbiter of the destiny of the world, what could go wrong? Peace and harmony for every serf for all 20 years of their lives. Provided they pay their 90% taxes. Surely, half a slice of bread a day is enough? A whole slice for pregnant females! What a glorious argie future under the overlords!
Must admit I'm a bit concerned this supposedly loyal union leaders seems fond of the conservsative Scioli. Although he must be better than the scab Moyano, Cristina seems to still face a very unusual situation for a President's relations with organised labour - they're all too right wing for her! Surely there must be militants lower down in the bureaucracy and crucially in the rank and file who still support the left government and who she can rely on against treachery?
Oct 28th, 2012 - 03:49 am - Link - Report abuse 0Everyone is a right wing to BK when they are anti asslips cuntina kirchner. Someone will take her out eventually.....Mussolini her ass..or mouth....both the same.
Oct 28th, 2012 - 01:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#16 But these union chiefs aren't even taking an ultra-leftist opposition line, they're not backing Binner or the trots, he says he'd prefer Scioli. The left would prefer Cristina or a candidate from her government, or indeed a Binnerite if transversal unity isn't possible, certainly not a conservative Peronist. Alicia Castro used to be a radical, non-Peronist, trade union leader - maybe she should be brought home to run the CGT? With her as union leader and either Cristina or Timmerman as President...marvelous!
