The 18 July 1994 AMIA attack in Buenos Aires left 85 dead and hundreds injured The 18 July 1994 AMIA attack in Buenos Aires left 85 dead and hundreds injured

The Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, between Argentina and Iran to investigate the 1994 bombing in downtown Buenos Aires, will be discussed in Argentina’s Lower House after having received approval in the Senate.

The controversial MOU has divided Argentine public opinion, is rejected by the Jewish community in Argentina and is also questioned by Israel and the US given Iran’s record in international affairs.

However a piece published in The Teheran Times, gives details of the MOU secret negotiations, which have been on going for two years, and “have infuriated Israel and the Zionist lobby”.

The administration of President Cristina Fernandez never admitted that negotiations have been ongoing for two years.

Under the heading: ‘Iran and Argentina deal a serious blow to Zionists’, The Teheran Times published the following.

The Argentine Senate ratified the Iran-Argentina memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a fact-finding mission to investigate the controversial AMIA case on Friday. If the MOU is also ratified in the lower house of the Argentine National Congress, the document will be the first of its kind between the two countries since 1902.

The AMIA MOU may be viewed as a commonplace document by citizens of the two countries. However, if one takes a glance at the analyses and commentaries published in the media, especially in the West, it becomes clear that the development has been a serious setback for the United States and Israel and their anti-Iran efforts.

The document was signed so that the facts can finally be discovered about the AMIA case since many doubts have been raised about the authenticity of Argentina’s claims regarding Iran’s alleged role in the incident over the past few years.

On July 18, 1994, only a few hours after the AMIA bombing, Israeli officials and the then president of Argentina accused Iran, although there had obviously been no legal proceedings yet, no one had been arrested, and not a single shred of evidence implicating Iran had been discovered.

Over the years, Iran has repeatedly denied the charges. Iran’s then ambassador to Argentina was later arrested in London, but a British court was unable to prove the charges and suffered a serious defeat at the hands of Iranian lawyers. If there was a single piece of evidence implicating the Iranian diplomat, the British judge would have never dared to release him from custody. This led the court to issue arrest warrants for the Argentine judge and other people who had levelled charges against Iran, including the president, the chief of the intelligence agency of Argentina, the head of a Zionist entity in the country called DAIA, and prosecutors who, according to the court, were all guilty of obstructing justice. The Argentine government also realized that it had been the victim of a much wider political scheme and that its judiciary had been influenced by foreign lobby groups.

However, under heavy pressure from Zionist groups, Argentina did not drop the charges against Iran and other Iranian citizens were named as suspects in the case. A low-profile Zionist judge was even assigned to head the investigation, who repeated the baseless accusations against the Iranian government and officials for years. He was clearly in the service of the United States and Israel in their plot against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran told Buenos Aires that it should allow a third party investigation to be conducted if it was really certain about the validity of its claims. However, Argentina continued to rebuff Iran’s logical requests and even accused Tehran of being uncooperative in the proceedings.

But after nearly two decades, Argentina has finally changed its approach and has agreed to allow an international truth commission to conduct an investigation of the incident. The new decision seems to be in line with the Argentine government’s new policy. After many decades, Argentina has decided to liberate the country from U.S. and Israeli influence. In other words, Buenos Aires has finally realized that its alignment with the stances of the Zionist and imperialist forces created no advantage for the country over the years and even ruined its relations with many sovereign countries.

Iran and Argentina held secret negotiations for two years to prepare the ground for the signing of the memorandum of understanding, which infuriated Israel and the Zionist lobbies. Israel summoned Argentina’s ambassador to Tel Aviv and called the Argentine foreign minister a traitor. Even the highest officials of Argentina, including the president, were insulted by Israeli officials. Over the past few weeks, the Zionists used everything at their disposal to prevent the ratification of the MOU by the Argentine Senate. They even warned Buenos Aires that another major terrorist incident could occur in the country. A few extremists also held a demonstration in front of the Argentine Embassy in Tel Aviv, which was criticized by many people inside the occupied territories.

So why is Israel so worried about the fact-finding mission? Mainly because the United States and Israel are opposed to any sort of cooperation or deal between Iran and other countries, especially if it would increase Iran’s clout in places that were formerly regarded as the backyards of the United States and Israel.

Israel is the most notorious political manipulator in the world. From the very beginning of its cancerous inception, Israel has victimized the Jews to realize its political objectives. Anywhere in the world that Israel is unable to materialize its goals it carries out a false-flag terrorist attack against Jewish residents, quickly points the finger at its enemies, and doubles the pressure in order to attain its goals.

The AMIA incident occurred a few years after Iran and Argentina reached an agreement on nuclear cooperation in the 1980s, according to which Buenos Aires would help Iran develop its peaceful nuclear program. Although Israel did its utmost to scupper the deal at that time, it was still worried about backroom agreements. But then the AMIA bombing seriously damaged relations between the two countries, and the nuclear cooperation deal and other joint plans were suspended.

The recent terrorist attack against Jews in Bulgaria was a similar scenario, through which Israel repeated its false accusations against the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah and called on the European Union to put the group on its list of terrorist organizations. Thus, the Iran-Argentina truth commission could expose Israel’s false-flag terrorist operations and treacherous machinations of the past 20 years.

The Zionist lobbies are now trying to prevent the ratification of the AMIA bill in the lower house of the Argentine National Congress by pressuring and bribing members of the legislature. However, the Argentine people and government will learn the truth about the AMIA case sooner or later and will understand which government is benefiting the most from the ambiguities surrounding the case.

The AMIA memorandum of understanding contains articles that guarantee the rights of Iranian citizens, and Iran’s parliament and executive branch of government should also ratify the MOU in order to facilitate the process of discovering the truth about the plots devised by the Zionist regime.
