    What “Dollar Clamp” apparently KFC said there is no dollar clamp, but as she lies Argentines have to wonder how much of 1 million dollars a day going into uruguay from argentina is actually Kirchners loot, while millions of Argentine people go hungry, cold and destitute......Peronist law, she wants your dollars!

    Didn't I read on here that Uruguay agreed to disclose to Argentina, the details of accounts held by it's citizens in Uruguayan Banks? That means she knows where the money is, if she knows where it is, it's as good has hers.

    340 million dollars is not the equivalent of 1 million dollars a day unless you only have 340 days in a year in SA. The actual amount is 340 million divided by 365 which equals 931,506.85 dollars pay day. That's 68,493.14 dollars short of a million per day over 365 days. Doesn't seem a lot looking at it but it's a huge difference of just under 25 million over the course of a year - a Hell off a lot of money!

    Off course it doesn't really matter as it will only get worse in Argentina, but i wish people would state facts not inaccurate statements.

    I'd hate to be on a ferry attempting to get from BA to Colonia in only half an hour!

    @3 Reality Check

    Not really, if it's outside of Argentine juristiction then she can't steal it nearly as effectively. She can lean on the account holders, but international banks are less succeptable to pressure from individual countries.

    After all she knows where the Falkland Islands are, but they're certainly not hers, no matter how many speeches she makes.

    @5 Less than that. Based on the original figures, it works out to around US$868,767.12 crossing per day.
    @7 Doesn't it depend, in reality, on whether she leans on Mujica? He's such a wimp that he'd probably order the banks to collect it all up and send it to CFK's own account!

    I guess Uruguayan banks won't need recapitalising then. Makes you think there should have been a 'bank of the falklands' with great saving rates...

    ... the irony that could have happened.

    I don't think there is much U$ left in Arg banks held by individuals any longer. The smart $ left a long time ago.

    My guess is that there will be another forced conversion happening soon enough. The gov't doesn't have enough U$ to pay their gas bill this year and that is about the only place left for them to get it.

    It will be interesting to see what happens next month if Teachers are still on strike and mfg, truckers and farmers join them.

    Instead of hoping for a 3rd term CFK is probably wondering how to make it through the 2nd alive.

    Argentina is growing and there's no forex shortage.

    Why do you need to lie? It sad when I see those desperate brits clinging to absolute lies.

    Sorry UK, your economy will keep getting smaller.
