Ah! his surname was Lanata and not la Grasa?
    Well I was close.

I like his program “Pelotudismo Para Bobos” very entertaining especially if you want to keep you mind in complete blank.

I like “La Sueca” I cannot understand a word of what she says but se looks nice.

I just wonder why he choose Pelotudismo Pra Bobos as the name of his program.

may be something to do with its shitty content?

Can you image having to look into those eyes when he kissed her ass? I hope he closed his eyes.

Dany, you sure it's “Pelotudismo para bobos” and not “Periodismo para bobos”?

    A bit like.... you know...

@2 & 5 I prefer 'reading' my news from a bunch of different sources. It's easier to detect bias and see the identity of the writer. News from the TV is generally pretty detestable. Though I hope that neither of you like to get your news from Telam. They can barely write, and they are too cowardly to disclose the name of the person who wrote the article.

I recommend you read something on Economics that isn't the Marxist manifesto, though most K supporters have the IQs of monkeys and can barely graffiti spoon fed stupidities on a wall that they don't understand themselves.

Are either of you even in Argentina, or are you like certain basement dwellers that like to gratify themselves to pictures of Cristina safely in Urban Britannia.

It's spineless to share his real thoughts and try so hard to apologize for it later. I'm truly surprised he could tolerate being stuck in a plane with such a hideous person.

Doesn't matter how much ass kissing he does to CFK in public, we all know what he REALLY thinks.

    A great comment.

“We must be among the few Uruguayans who stubbornly defend the relation with Argentina regardless of the government that rules it,” - so the majority in Uruguay do not support Argentina.

That's in English, and I can assure you Pepe doesn't speak the language.

Maybe you could show me the original statement made by Mujica.
Quite weird that the only site that has this news, with those quotes, is MP.

I know there would be a major polemic in Uruguay should he have said what MP claims.

So therefor, before saying that MP are a bunch of lying servants of the oligarchy, I ask you for a source

Can you believe your ears ??/
    Apparently it is rumoured
President José Mujica has offered marriage to Cristina Fernandez

    And he has offered Uruguay,
    As a dowry wedding present.
Now either someone has got to him and drugged him,
Or all this is just false newspaper rubbish,

    Either way,
    We are not amused lol.

Now that's a spirce I can rely on.
La Republica is not the best, but surely a good source for information.

And I can see that MP are liars, as I almost accused them of, but they are merely selecting what truth to offer.

Read that article in lr21 and you'll see that Pepe said quite a lot of things.
What he is referring to is the economic situation between Argentina and Uruguay. The latter always being dragged down every time the former one falls.

Translate this, another quote from the same paper, same interview.

    When questioned about the relation between the countries appearing to be tense, Mujica says;
“parecer de los periodistas, porque los periodistas hacen la jugada y, al mismo tiempo, van a cobrar el vuelto”

So, no need to worry. MP is merely giving you lot false impressions...

Just look at this toad. “We must be among the few Uruguayans who stubbornly defend the relation with Argentina regardless of the government that rules it,” “Pepe” needs some education. “Governments” are supposed to “govern”, not “rule”. But there's a clue. “Pepe” recognises CFK as a despot. He even confirms it. “Cristina Fernandez’ firm nature allows her to rule Argentina”. Here's a question. How far has his senile dementia progressed? This is someone who, at one time, was, supposedly, a terrorist. More likely a terrorised! What is “Pepe”? Defensive, frightened, gutless, incompetent, puerile, ridiculous, senile, weak.

Good comments from Mujica on Cristina; imho they reflect well on her, and on him. I like how he combines sagacious punditry with his political protagonism, in that he reminds me of Galloway, especially when he used to have his own talkshow =)

#20 You obviously didn't read the article, which mentioned his actual wife! Any chance she might run for President, Uraguyan friends?

It's open news that pepe le pu thinks nasty nestor is a crossed eyed crook and anusface is an old hag, can't change his opinion, only suppress. But it's a shame that pepe's economy depends so much on kirchnerites laundering their money in Uruguay to keep their lights on. Whatever keeps him in the graces of greatest dictocrat of South America.....thus far.

It's Vazquez next, no doubt about that. ´
Good news from Uruguay though. The judge they replaced Mariana Mota with (who wanted to pursuit the human rights offenders from the dictatorship), has ALSO decided that crimes against humanity don't prescribe. Add this to the pressure from the international community. Uruguay has, after all, signed a few treaties.

They are going down, I just wonder how many :)

#28 “It's Vazquez next, no doubt about that”

Isn't he the one who asked Bush for troops to use against Nestor? How worried should progressive people be about his return? Is he really unstoppable, within the Broad Front, or can a left candidate stand from Pepe's tendency in the primaries?

I don't see it happen, Vazquez had some 70-80% approval when he left office, and yes, it was him that made those ridiculous statements.

The Broad Front is broad indeed.
Vazquez belongs to the socialists within that block. Pepe is from MPP, former Tupamaros. Then you have the communists and the three more to the centre, Alianza Progresista, Asamblea Uruguay and Nuevo Espacio. Finally you have the three smaller left-wing representations, Partido Obrero, Vertiente Artiguista and PVP.
The biggest ones within the coalition are the MPP and the Socialists, with Asamblea Uruguay, Vertiente Artiguista and the Communists not far behind.

I don't think that MPP can come up with a candidate that would beat Vazquez to the Presidency.

It's a centre-left government with tendencies of sell-outs. He is good for the people though, regarding the social improvements.
If one can judge him by his last performance.

If one can sterotype the political parties within FA, from left to right they go

    PVP (marxists, anarchists)
    MPP (marxists, anarchists)
