when the royal navy turns up, everyone is interested.
This is how grown-ups handle ship visits (please take note Spain) on the way to an exercise, tours of the ship and a slap-up feed for the local admirals rather than the whole it's an invasion, gunboat diplomacy and everything else that happened a few weeks ago.

Sep 19th, 2013 - 09:49 am - Link - Report abuse 0Yes, the embargo on British ships entering south american ports seems to be slipping. It is similar to the Panama delegation being sent to the Falklands.
Sep 19th, 2013 - 10:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0South America are becoming aware that CFK's reign of terror is nearing an end and the more sensible countries are attempting to repair some of the damage done with the UK.
so, the members of the royal navy visited a school in TIERRA BOMBA....the better place°s name for some vacations for the royal navy.
Sep 19th, 2013 - 11:23 am - Link - Report abuse 0the ship integrated with NUMEROUS north, south and central countries......well USA, Canada and Colombia.
and they say ” Lancaster will now continue to visit Caribbean and Commonwealth countries in order to conduct regional defense engagement, train with other navies and demonstrate the Royal Navy’s continued commitment to the region. (RN News).”
sorry but which is the Defense engagement of UK in South america??? If UK is not part of América??
which is the UK Royal Navy°s commitment to the region?? If Uk is not part of the region???

Still,
Being an argie that’s all new to you, is it not..lol

Sep 19th, 2013 - 12:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Don't worry yourself, the concept of having a blue water navy is beyond your comprehension and scope of understanding.
The biggest winners whore the Colombian whore houses.

Sep 19th, 2013 - 01:47 pm - Link - Report abuse 0We know that even if Argentina rebuilt its navy (only barbaric war monger nations feel the need to wage war every 4 years), it will never do anything with the USA/UK/Canada, etc.
Sep 19th, 2013 - 01:47 pm - Link - Report abuse 0They are the enenmy, so why pretend otherwise?
@6 You might like to note the difference between a British warship and an argie one. British warships float upright. Argie waaagh ships don't float. Or they do so on their sides. Or they pretend to be submarines. The ARA General Belgrano was probably one of the biggest, bought from someone else, argie submarines. Its location is now the site of an argie war grave. Pity the pile of junk isn't there. That's because argieland lies about its position. Its been dived on. Not there. But then, argieland lies about everything.
Sep 19th, 2013 - 02:56 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@11 Slight mistake. If argieland rebuilt its navy, new rowboats, pedallos, rafts, it would never do anything with the USA/UK/Canada, etc. because it couldn't get out of harbour. The same harbour it fled to in 1982. The same harbour it didn't dare leave. Comparison; 1941/2. Pearl Harbor. Did the Americans refuse to come out and fight the Japanese? In 1939, a German U-boat penetrated Scapa Flow naval base and sank HMS Royal Oak. Did the Royal Navy refuse to come out and fight? Argies are cowards. Yellow-bellied, arse-licking, shite-eating, bendy boys. Don't worry, girlies. If there's a next time, navy and air force bases will be high up on the list of targets. Along with BA.
Iread today,

WTF they ever specified it without the cat and traps is beyond me. Ah, the penny has just dropped: the MoD thought the price over the top for a cat flap and a mouse trap!

Royal Navy says huge size of its new aircraft carrier will be a deterrent
Petitt also raised the possibility that Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones might be flown from the flight deck of HMS Elizabeth, even if it meant yet another U-turn to refit the ship with catapults

Sep 19th, 2013 - 09:39 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You have to feel sorry for these Argentines, they are almost childlike in their naivety. Do you understand that you are at least 50 years behind the UK when it comes to sophisticated naval weaponry.
We have the ability now to wipe out every military installation you own from a remote position in the mid-atlantic. Tell me, when is the rebuild about to start?

Sep 19th, 2013 - 10:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0You query the statement:
“Lancaster will now continue to visit Caribbean and Commonwealth countries in order to conduct regional defence engagement, train with other navies and demonstrate the Royal Navy’s continued commitment to the region.”
For your information the UK has many friends and interests in the Caribbean,
Commonwealth countries in the region of South America and the Caribbean of which the Queen is Head of State include, Belize, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines. The Queen is also head of state of the British overseas territories in the region which are the islands of Anguilla, Bermuda, The Cayman islands, the British Virgin Islands, Montserrat, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. The UK also has friendly relations with Trinidad and ships of her Majesty’s Royal Navy regularly make curtest visits there.
The Royal Navy always has ships in the region to provide disaster relief during the hurricane season.
Last week, the British Royal Navy ship RFA Wave Knight, which carries a detachment of U.S. law enforcement personnel, stopped a ship it said was carrying 2,812 pounds of marijuana, worth $10.2 million.
I think that answers your question.
You seem unaware that the UK has friends around the world and the high seas are open to anyone and the royal navy doesn;t need Argentinas permission to sail in the southern oceans.
Tobias Big Nostrils blabbering as usual, forgetting that Der Führer Juan Peron once begged that Argentina become a member of NATO. He was told that Argentina was not in the North Atlantic and decided that grapes are sour, same as the fox and Toby Big Nostrils.
