    Monkey
This is perfectly in line with what I've been telling you. Yet another UK company desperate for profit, working together with Pepe and YPF in order to achieve it...
Why is that racist? I have nothing against the colour of your skin, your culture or your language. I appreciate your food and I love the footies.

I'm against the murdering of women and children, torturing of prisoners that haven't been convicted, invasions of Sovereign nations in order to sack them for natural resources.

If you defend all that, it doesn't mean I'm racist.

    I merely don't like YOU.

Don't blame Britain for your flaws...

@2 Shell, i.e. Royal Dutch Shell, is, as the name implies, an Anglo-Dutch multinational. Its headquarters is in The Hague. “Ownership” has not changed much. Meaning that 60% of the ownership is Dutch. At what point does a company become a “UK company”? 50% UK ownership? 40%? 10%? 1%? All those things you're “against”? I can understand how you must feel about the United Provinces of the River Plate invading Uruguay. How fortunate that Britain was on hand to arrange for the treaty that established Uruguay as an independent state. Naturally, no women or children were killed or injured during the Uruguayan Civil War. How fortunate that the Tupamaros arose. But didn't it rob banks, gun clubs and other businesses? Just imagine robbing banks where “the poor” have deposited their pitiful savings. Not that they were above kidnapping and murder. Of course, little Uruguay has NEVER done anything meaningful. 1939-45 and the UK lost about half a million people killed. Guess what? That would have been a quarter or more of Uruguay's population at the time. Problem is, Stevie, that you're a gutless, uneducated moron. Perhaps, in 30 or 40 years' time, you might understand something about the world. As of now you understand diddly squat. See whether you can find some statistics on female and child suicide bombers. Check out females and children that have been given arms and trained. And such attackers shouldn't be shot? When will you go and see for yourself? If you look carefully, you can find pictures of women and children being armed and trained. But that wouldn't fit your “world picture”, would it?

Conq I think that treaty is now a dead letter
A little known bit of old news which may be hearsay.
A couple of years ago a RN vessel was refused permission to dock in Montevideo
Our bumbling bucolic President then shuffled round in person to the British Embassy and seemingly apologized. “No offence meant your Excellency, but I have to do what Cristina orders”
The drunken comments yesterday of our Minister of Defense have been widely reported in the local press.
FFS, A drunk idiot in charge of our defenses?
Now as a retaliation to the bullying from BA, perhaps ships flying the Falklands flag should be permitted to dock in Uruguay
In trade terms it wouldnt make much difference but Cristina would not just suffer from a blood clot. She would have an anuerism!

Petrobras was pumped up with government loans and expanded too quickly. They bit off more than they could chew. They are having to pull back from some of their endeavors.

    @Stevie
Shell's profits in 2012 were $3 million / hour. That's the kind of desperation YPF would love to have.

    @3 Lol.

I worked for Shell Nigeria as a subcontractor only for a short while but long enough to know that Shell only think of Shell.

A prime example: the political situation in Nigeria was “tender” during the time I was there and they parked a very expensive helicopter on the roof of the site headquarters to evacuate the senior Shell staff in the event of a raid on the terminal, even though the Shell private airfield was only TWO miles away. When I asked the senior contractor what happened to us he said we would be loaded on an armoured lorry and taken to the airfield. So when I asked the 64M dollar question the answer was “well we don’t have a plane ourselves but we “think” Shell will allow us to fill the empty seats”. Very comforting and I never saw any armoured lorries either.

@5 So, let's see whether I understand you. The 1828 Treaty of Montevideo is a “dead letter”. If that is so, Brazil and argieland no longer accept the independence of Uruguay. I suppose there must be some support for that concept as argieland tends to treat Uruguay as another argie province. The, possibly unfortunate, thing about that is that it would appear legally correct for Uruguay to revert to its previous status of being the Provincia Cisplatina of Brazil. Conceivably, after a 185 year “pause”, Brazil and argieland can resume the Cisplatine War. That might well be a “good idea”. As Brazil's armed forces are more than four times the size of argieland's. Usefully, the Brazilian army has proper tanks, the Brazilian navy has boats that float and the Brazilian air force not only has more than four times the number of aircraft, but they can fly as well. So, okay, the treaty is a “dead letter”. When does the war re-start? I reckon that, since the UK enabled the independence of Uruguay, it would be fair for the UK to get “involved”. We can add our 827 aircraft to those of Brazil!

You are indeed racist. You hate Britian and British things, your racism only allows you to see one “blinkered view” of any topic, which always is against the British and the British way of life.

That is racism, pure and simple.

    Take your above racist view.

    1) British (or in this case Anglo-Dutch) company is investing in Uruguay.

Actual scenario: Uruguay is welcoming internation expertise and investment to deliver projects for which it has neither funds nor expertise, in return that company will return value to their shareholders and jobs in both uruguay and multinationally.

Racist turd scenario: Desperate British company bending over to get access to Uruguay market with no benfit to britain.#

Second point: Murdering of women and children

Actual scenario: it seems like you only have an issue of civilian deaths when part of a British or American militarycampaign, which . Nicely glossed over when woman and children are actually murdered by the regimes that have been ousted, or indeed the many deaths of woman and children due to pverty in Latam as a direct consequence of your governments policies.

Invasions of sovereign nations to sack their mineral resources:

Actual scenario: The countries that were “invaded” have held democratic elections and returned governments that have issues oil production and exploration licences to a variety of multinationals.

Racist Turd Stevie scenario: When Uruguay issues licences there is no benefit to britain if a British company gets the licence (they are bent over just for Uruguays benefit), When Iraq issues licences they are being exploited by the evil west who invaded them....rampant racist hypocrisy ..!!

As far as you hating me is concerned...good. Because if a gutless, racist, jumped up turd like you hates me..I must be doing a whole lot right.

tell us again about your “journey” Stevie...its fucking hilarious.

In Uruguay, campanies are paying for exploring for oil. In Iraq they are getting lucrative contracts for sacking the country of its already proven oil reserves.

That is just not the same, Monkey.
And I don't hate you, you would never have that kind of impact on me...

That's interesting Stevie...complete and total bollocks ..but interesting.

Firstly there is significant oil exploration going on all over Iraq.
Secondly, the “lucrative contracts” (more racist shit) are actually competitively bid development contracts to develop and produce from of dewlap adapted and inefficient fields.
Thirdly, these “exploration licences” that Shell etc are paying for in Uruguay...what happens if they find oil...do they never turn into lucrative production contracts to “sack Uruguay of its now proven assets”....don't the exploration licences detail how they turn into production licences.

You are so full of SHIT Stevie....it's embarrassing the utter crap you spew
