    They use to boil them for oil, they starve them by the millions and now they use them as a mascot.

    “they starve them by the millions”.... nothing to do with Argentine over-fishing (remember the pretty lights on the jiggers seen from space?) and ocean temperature rises have got nothing to do with it ... noooo, of course not.

    “They use to boil them for oil, they starve them by the millions and now they use them as a mascot.”

    It's called evolving and advancing.

    It's better than repeating the same mistake again and again and again. Like, oh I don't know, Argentina's tendency to collapse economically again and again.

    And let's not get started on the continual repeat of military juntas.

    So thanks Marcos for showing the superiority of the Falkland Islanders.

    You've done your job, you may leave now.

    @2

    Bitter are we? The Falkland Islands promoting themselves at the World Travel Market. Maybe South African Airlines might a fancy a new route to Stanley, although not via Buenos Aires, owing to the fact nobody wants to visit there apparently. :-)

    “They use to boil them for oil”

    Argentines STILL club seals in the Antarctic.

    The Islanders don't starve penguins, Argentine overfishing does.

    You've made a good point though-Britain and the Falkland Islanders have done some horrendous things in the past but sadly the Argentine government keep repeating the same old mistakes....

    Argies are like children, because they can't have the toy, they try to play down how good it is and throwing insults, all the time jealous of the child that owns the toy. When they grow up they will learn to respect the owner of the toy, but sadly it looks like Argie land can't do this. This is why we get the trolls throwing insults.

    Something like 'The Hamburgler' would make a better mascot.
    'Maybe 'The landburglar'.
