Well I guess if tourists prefer tyre burning demos and adventure holidays in which they are mugged, I guess they won't find that in the Falklands, a major tourist marketing advantage for Argentina though.

    Poor aulie at 3
Look at the facts - work out numbers of tourists per head of population or per sq km of the country and see who gets more?

Why do you think cruise ships tend to ignore the silly protests in your ports? or just avoid your ports totally?

Why do a growing number of Antarctic expedition ships now do their re-supply in Stanley instead of Ushuaia?

For some reason I am inclined to believe this news story than all the malvinista crap that emanates from Timerman and the 'boludos argentinos' who appear here from time to time.

    tremendous interest in the islets?

An islet is a small island next to a coastline--roughly less than 1 km in size. Hardly fits the Falklands.
Isla de los Estados is much smaller than Islas Malvinas (as your govt.incorrectly call them). They use the word, “Islas” in Spanish , which corresponds directly to Islands in English.
By your reckoning this should be called an islet.
Are you SO ignorant that you know better than your own government what the correct noun should be ?

You and your fellow Trolls DO like your childish pejorative terms.

“Keeping your clients safe: how to minimize your risk,” and “Growing Niche Markets in Latin America”.

Sensible topics for a South American trade show. The answer of course is to send you tourists to the Falkland Islands.

    10 Paul
I haven't seen you on any Argentina story threads for a while. Understandable really. I mean this is such a hugely controversial story right here isn't it. Don't worry though some of your fellow deadbeat trolls haven't failed in letting you all down.

    Tick tock.

You have to be kidding me!!!!. Now the islands are latin americans islands?. So i wonder how the slogan would be: “come to latin america, we in the ”Falklands“ welcome you”?????.
Its very interesting to note the fact they indoctrinate their children to believe the islands are not located in south america, but now they try to identify themselves as latin americans in a territory that preciselly lack of anything related to the word latin.

    @12 Liberato

Did you actually read the article? Obviously not.

They are NOT promoting the Islands as Latin American, they ATTENDED a Latin American experience event being held in London and PROMOTED the Falklands to THOSE Latin American countries, as well as other countries, and to encourage CO-OPERATION between them

I know that you don't understand the word 'co-operate' it is alien to the Argentine mind, but other countries in South America have NO problem with doing business with the Falklands, none at all.

Perhaps next time you should look before you leap so you won't look like a complete prat.

    No, we don't.
    Where did you 'note' that?
    Nowhere, because it isn't true.

#9... Enjoyed the link. It would seem the Glorious Argentine Republic (pirates and colonial genocidal maniacs...didn't kill any indigenous natives, honest gov, the place was empty), seem to treat the colonial settlers (argentines) with the same contempt today as they did in '82. Nice to see they are at least consistent.

    “pirates and colonial genocidal maniacs”

guess you are talking about england, aren't you?
they invented piracy and genocide and slave trade and concentration camps and most of the disgraces known

    19. I think you'll find that piracy and genocide date a wee bit further back, try classical times. The Atlantic Slave Trade was started by the Portugese and Concentration Camps were first used by the Russians, followed by the Spanish.

No, fool. There was piracy long before England even existed. Greeks, Romans, Moors, Barbary Corsairs....
And the slave trade. Doh, yes, the Romans, and every other ancient civilisation.
Genocide....take your pick. Genghis Khan, Tamerlane the Great...

    You really are an ignoramus.

    imbeciles various
not a surprise you, bunch of ignorants, don't know the difference between slavery and slave trade.
slave trade was created by the british, or whatever was the name of the inhabitants of those isles, during the middle ages
not a surprise you, bunch of nabos, don't know that concentration camps were created by the british in the boer wars.
that´s why i wisely say: invest your money in education instead of spending it in fantasy oil wells

The middle ages refers to the 5th- 15th centuries. Just where do you think the 'slave trade' operated to from England in pre- Columbian times?
As it happens, there was a huge slave trade operating to bring European slaves into North Africa during the middle ages. Perhaps that's what you are referring to?
You might want to think about investing a bit in your own education.

@23 I think that selling slaves at market could be considered a slave trade as per the romans/greek/egyptians.

You are right though England has a sordid past. Argentina has a sordid present.

Modern day South America: a continent forged from the blood and usurpation of the native population and African slaves; principally (but not exclusively) by Spanish speaking Europeans.

But hey, lets not reflect on that, lets blame the evil pirate ingrissh instead.
