I bet this was far cheaper than “Malvinas are we” exhibit in Argentina.

...AND it shows pictures of people who live there too!!

The best pic at the Falklands exhibit is named “ The Stump” where it depicts the family tree and heritage of the FI's. ;)

Had a look at some of the photos on the BBC website yesterday, very good indeed, shame I won't make the exhibition.

Shame it's in Central London (i.e. too far for me to get to).

Might it be worth suggesting that it goes on the road a bit?

if I do I will let you know Rufus, and I will mention to them your suggestion.

    LOL @ country bumpkin, PabloCredenza

I imagine him sitting on the fence by the dusty highway passing his farm, wondering where all those people are going to, on those buses that go by.

Thinks to himself “ the world must be an awful place - full of foreigners”

If it was in Argentina it would still be lived in.
You seriously go there with the botox queen running your country. I don't assume that all Agrentine women look waxworks rejects just because of CFK.

In pars of Argentina that would be classed as a desirable residence--it has a roof....luxury !
My God ! Compare her with CFK...who has a neck like a turkey and a plastic face.

    @ 17 Benson
“I don't assume that all Argentine women look waxworks rejects just because of CFK.”

I was in Tienda Inglesa PdelE a little while ago, waiting in line at a checkout behind this small female figure who had just placed a single lunchtime wrap on the belt.

I couldn't see her face but she was dressed in the latest “young” fashion with clinging black tights showing her pert little bottom to a “T”, tailored double colour leather jacket showing off her hour glass waist, topped by long hair bleached blonde.

I placed my few items on the belt and waited for her to be served. I thought (from the rear) she would be in her mid-twenties.

The female checkout asked her “and the senor?” and I thought “in my dreams – why do you think I would be with a 20 something (I am 68)”.

And then the 20 something turned to look at me. Every millimetre of her false sunburnt face was heavily lined and she was at least 60+!

By happenstance she was parked in the same aisle as me: her car had argie plates.

You see these ‘young’ argie women all the time in Uruguay. I shudder to think how much it must cost her husband to keep her looking like that and what a letdown when you see what they are.
