CFK want to replace Peronism with Kirchnerism. Simple as that. To maintain her and her husband's legacy. If you can't do the job in the time allotted, then get over it. Move on. But no...MY legacy....
Indeed that would be great. Peronism is a mixed bag that contains many of the worst things in politics. Peronism gave Argentina shady characters like Isabel Martinez, Jose Lopez Rega and Carlos Menem.
Kirchnerism, instead, has shown remarkable consistency between lear principles and has stuck to them all along. One may like it or not, but they have been consistent.

Enrique, this is the single most ridiculous statement you have made on MercoPress. CFK is absolutely famous for her ability to volte face on just about any subject or principle: for instance the famous two letters after Nisman's death the first claiming it was suicide the second claiming it was murder!!! She and her band of thieves go back on just about every thing they have ever stated.
I suppose living in Alberta must give you a different view of what is happening in Argentina than those of us who actually live here!!!!!

I was rather referring to the general direction and acts of government of the Kirchners. Of course, I do not expect everybody, inside or outside the country, to agree. That is democracy.
But taking your example, I agree that the public expressions of CFK were clumsy. Nonetheless, looking at the whole matter, I notice the failed efforts of the opposition to stick Nisman's death to the government. That, here, is called looking at the big picture instead of getting mired in details my dear compatriot.
Enrique: the only member of the opposition who has explicitly blamed the government for the death of Nisman is Ms. Carrio who has always suffered from chronic hyperbole!!!! The big picture with regard to Nisman's death is that four months after his death no one knows if he was murdered or took his own life!!!!!! This is the bad news because it means that our judicial investigative system is pretty damn useless!!!
Argentine politics is black magic...from lopez rega to the charismatic blaspheming pope....who's somewhat opposition..but when Kiciloff's model turns into genocide through hunger..he smiles and does nada to address it. a sign of the times we're living in.

I agree; the time this has taken is unacceptable. The way the justice system works in Argentina is surprisingly slow and amateurish. I could not believe that Nisman's ex-wife Arroyo Salgado, who is a party in the legal process as a complainant, would be able to paralyze the legal review of Nisman's electronics for several weeks. Also, in relation to the way the justice system works in Canada, there are not everyday press conferences. Prosecutors and judges rarely speak to the media. There is an urgent need for a complete overhaul of the system.
At last we seem to agree on something, Enrique. Our judicial system is anachronic and almost antediluvial. There is far too much corruption in all the various police forces, and on top of this none of them work in the same way. There is no coordination between the various actors.
The exposure in the press of all the actions of the investigators is incredibly stupid as it leads to total loss of information, as in this case the escape of Stiusso!!!
The final nail in the coffin is the madness of the judges who think that the only human rights are those of the criminals and take no interest in the victims.

Why Enrique? You've never posted an original thought.
May 16th, 2015 - 11:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0As is usual in Latin America, the politics become more about a monument to a person than a political movement.
If there was less Chavismo, Peronismo, Lulismo, Kirchnerismo, Uribismo etc etc etc there'd be more development and wealth.
Evita is dead and came from a different era. Evolve you morons and shed worthless and unworkable artefacts from the past and move forward.
What is it with SA countries that they have to call everything after peoples names?
