Argentine president Mauricio Macri said Mercosur needs “a greater integration dynamics” and defended the idea that the Atlantic regional block country members work to reach agreements with countries of the Pacific Alliance. Read full article

    Argentina at last exercising her right to act intelligently. Moving closer to the Pacific Alliance is a smart move by Macri. I hope we act as intelligently on the 23rd and move away from the EU. A reformed EU could learn a lot from the PA - no supranational entities, just freedom of movement.

    It is a big shame that Argentina didn't ditch the destructive Kirchner regime earlier. Now as accurate numbers on their economy are being reported for the first time in years the scale of the damage done is evident. The economy has shrunk massively. GDP/capita now $5,000 less than neighbouring Chile.

    That is the same as the difference between us and ze Germans!
