A long line of people kissed each other outside parliament in London on Sunday in a show of love to urge Britain to remain in the European Union.Campaigners said that over 420 people had taken part in the kiss chain in London, as other mass kissing events took place in Berlin, Paris and Rome.
The demonstration aimed to show love is strong between Britain and Europe and to reject hate campaigning ahead of the EU referendum a statement from organizing campaign group Avaaz said.
A vote for Remain is a vote for love, tolerance and unity in our diversity, commented Alice Jay, Avaaz campaign director in a statement.
Britain votes on Thursday on whether or not to leave the 28-member European Union, and polls indicate the rival campaigns are in a dead heat.
