“Time to recover Falklands/Malvinas dialogue”
Discussions between the UK and Argentina in 1980 referred to the Falkland Islands dispute have been reconstructed by an Argentine researcher bringing together recent documents from Britain's National Archives and the memoirs of two prominent members of the military government of the time in Buenos Aires, Finance minister Jose Alfredo Martinez de Hoz and the ambassador in the UK, Carlos Ortiz de Rozas.

Fed vice-president optimistic about US economy employment and inflation targets
The Federal Reserve is close to hitting its targets for US employment and 2% inflation, according to the central bank's vice chairman, Stanley Fischer. In a speech in Colorado, the Fed's number two policymaker was upbeat about the economy's recovery and prospects.

Coordinators meeting in Montevideo will find “a definitive solution” to Mercosur acephaly
Paraguay's foreign minister Eladio Loizaga anticipated that the Mercosur coordinators meeting scheduled to take place this Tuesday in Montevideo, will be “definitive” since a proposal to solve the current “acephaly” of the block's presidency which was self proclaimed by Venezuela and questioned by other members, “will emerge”.

Premier Oil currently drafting a Project Proposal for oil production in the Falklands
The commercialisation of the Sea Lion Oil Field off the Falkland Island’s continues to take steps forward as Premier Oil prepares a detailed project proposal to be submitted to the Falkland Island’s Government (FIG). Premier Oil has been undertaking public consultations in the Falklands over the past week as part of their Environmental Impact Assessment, which will support their application to FIG to proceed with oil development.

EU Parliament president calls Argentina a crucial associate in the redefinition of global relations
Visiting president of the European Parliament Martin Shultz called on his Argentine hosts to leave behind those chapters “with no dialogue” and concentrate on Mercosur/EU trade and cooperation negotiations that have been stalled for almost twenty years, taking advantage of an Argentina opened to the world and an ally when international relations are being redefined.
