Let's count Maradumbo's tattoos. One of Che Guevara. One of Fidel Castro. And one for his GF, who he calls Bitch and has a prominent tattoo with that (Perra).
Dec 03rd, 2016 - 10:01 pm - Link - Report abuse +6He's a real work of art. Well known for domestic abuse and ...seen as a disreputable cheat and dope fiend with highly dubious political affiliations. An absolute ideal spokesperson for Kirchnerism and role-model for la juventud argentina.
Since this seems to be the last (and one of very few) thread about Fidel, let me start by saying RIP Commandante. The filth from some on here dancing on his grave is sad but to be expected I guess. For me it was a truly moving experience to sign the book of condolences at the embassy and see all the tributes - written, floral and pictorial - left at what had become an impromptu shrine at its door.
Dec 12th, 2016 - 06:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Here's one of many things for the haters to ponder on, Casto's close friendship and alliance with Mandela: http://www.telesurtv.net/english/analysis/Mandela-and-Castro-Friends-Comrades-and-Allies-20141205-0028.html
And a couple of brilliant speeches on his legacy: http://www.telesurtv.net/english/analysis/Mandela-and-Castro-Friends-Comrades-and-Allies-20141205-0028.html and http://www.telesurtv.net/english/analysis/Mandela-and-Castro-Friends-Comrades-and-Allies-20141205-0028.html
The Maradona story is very interesting too, and very bad news for Macri. I remember a couple of years ago in these threads where some fool was saying Maradona supports Cristina having supported Menem and (I think) the junta, implying that makes her the same as them. In fact, it was pointed out, he is always supportive of whoever is running Argentina. So for him to be now predicting riots and calling for an ouster, instead of trying to get close to the new guy, means Macri must be extremely unpopular and weak. Unfortunately I don't quite think it will be over by Christmas, but this is a very bad omen, that might well point to a shortened term. Anyone know what Maradona said about de la Rua? ;)
Maradona is of no consequence in Argentina now, at least among mature audiences. He is correctly identified with his criminal behaviour, Marxist and misogynistic tattoos, drug dependencies, and inability to speak intelligibly, which of course make him a perennial hero to the Left.
Dec 12th, 2016 - 11:00 pm - Link - Report abuse -1Had Stalin been around when Maradona came of age, no doubt he would have sung old Josef's praises as well.
