Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Wednesday shuffled his cabinet by naming a new economy czar to oversee the OPEC country's decaying populist system and a new oil minister to confront the economic difficulties caused by low oil prices. He also appointed a new vice-president, state governor Tarek El Aissami, a hard liner that could replace Maduro if he is forced to step down. Read full article

““You shall assume, with a firm hand, the oversight of the economy,” Maduro said during a televised broadcast, describing Lobo as an expert in budget matters.”

Maybe MadUrine should've said “...the oversight of ' what's left of ' the economy”...

“Mr. El – Aissami is a Venezuelan national of Syrian descent”

So, a rag-headed Chavista to boot!

    Oh dear, poor Venezuela.

Perhaps the mob who eventually chuck this bunch of wankers out of office will behead him, just to make him feel at home.

Wow, Venezuela too is more progressive and democratic than the UK?

Is there any chance of ever seeing anyone called “Tarik El Aissami” as PM, or as shadow PM or whatever that is over in London? Too parrochial a country for that or for a colored leader.

    @ FC Utd.

Or the Muslim Mayor of Stoke on Trent.

Oh dear, he was impeached for vote rigging and stealing money from the Council.

All his mozzie councilor mates got chucked out at the next election as well. The Labour Party, even more stupid than the Lib-Dems.

REF: The country is suffering from triple-digit inflation, Soviet-style production shortages and increasing street protests.

In this situation, NOBODY can make any miracles unless a radical shift in the “Country-Management” is made - IMMEDIATELY!

Just like in Brazil, the widespread corruption is the root cause of the situation REF: http://brasil.elpais.com/brasil/2016/11/30/politica/1480532602_510430.html?id_externo_rsoc=TW_BR_CM

Reshuffling this economic team is like rearranging the chairs on the Titanic.
