Mar 09th, 2018 - 02:07 am - Link - Report abuse +2Reynaldo Bignone died a peaceful death, likely under the good medical care dispensed by his comrades and will probably have a tombstone with his name on it.
All of which he and his comrades denied to thousands of their country people who happened to think differently and were kidnapped, tortured for weeks or months in a row, to finally be sedated, loaded into planes and dumped alive into the sea.
Particularly odious was the destruction of evidence documenting illegal detentions and disappearances that Bignone ordered, clearly showing that, while the military always said they were saving the country from subversives, they were fully aware of the need to hide all the related information.
A sad period that should never happen again in Argentina--or in any other country for that matter.
I hope there's a special place in hell waiting for this coward.
