In Chile we have strict gun control laws. Every year, I have to take my shotgun and pistol to the local police station to re-register it for a permit.

Unfortunately, according to official statistics, 94.7 percent of firearm related crimes here are committed with unregistered guns, including highly illegal automatics.

Criminals don't respect gun control. They prey on the unarmed.

Bolsonaro is in favor of the right to bear arms. Now, the criminals don't need to buy the unregistered guns!

Looks like gun-smuggling has become a highly competitive business.

So how can the national Gun-Manufacturer survive without selling their guns locally? Luckily, there can't be a better salesman than the president himself!

Never mind, your government must be doing something right since Chile has a much lower murder rate than the USA. :)

PS. In the uber-strict UK, shotgun and firearms licences both last 5 years and the police come to you.
