The Argentine financial newspaper Ambito Financiero is insisting with its version of the agreement reached on the second commercial flight of the Falklands to the region, which is anticipates will be formally announced by president Mauricio Macri and UK Prime Minister Theresa May when they meet next 30 November in Buenos Aires in the sidelines of the G20 leaders' summit. Disclaimer & comment rulesThe two governments are about to announce the deal as soon as it is finalised. There are no big surprises; the joint statement of September last year said a second flight could only happen if there was another stop in Argentina once per month. Sounds fair enough to me; the current flight stops in Argentina and it all works fine. Both governments are saying it is not quite finalised yet. Our government said the public will be consulted before the final deal is accepted. An Argentine paper got hold of a leak about the deal. No big deal, that happens all the time.
