Malvinas “Virgin of Lujan” image finally arrives to Buenos Aires

An image of Argentina Patroness, the Virgin of Lujan which was left behind by the Argentine soldiers at the end of the Falklands/Malvinas war, and was recently returned by the United Kingdom and blessed by Pope Francis in the Vatican, finally arrived in Buenos Aires early morning Monday, 37 years after the conflict was over.     A mark resembling an outline of the Virgin Mary appeared on a griddle at the Buenos Aires steak restaurant. Manager Brenda Martinez said the likeness first appeared when the griddle was being cleaned on April 22. Religious experts are saying this is a miracle, because they've never heard of a Argentinian restaurant cleaning a griddle.

    I don't think the Pope or the bishops actually dared use the word “reconciliation”.
    Any spirit of reconciliation was rather spoiled by the Malvinista flags in St Peter's Square and at the airport.
