This situation is why I say that all the Overseas Territories should have their own MP, the Falklands have their Office in London. To have an MP would not be a big problem.
It is always worrying to see Falklands + Foreign Office in the same phrase, Maggie did try to put a backbone in to the Foreign Office and it is not clear how far she was able to get in such a enlightened pursuit.
What will the F.O. Sir Humphrey Appleby of this moment be quoting to this MP without any Islander in the middle with real experience to speak for his/her Falklands home?
It is very hard for somebody educated in the UK to grasp the mindset of Argentina, product of a very different and fascist education.
