As the Bolsa Familia recipients are concentrated in the NEast, a traditional PT stronghold, millions of former supporters have come to realize that Lulla was not a “God”.
Bolsonaro is their new hero, and Lulla ? well, he has become an inconvenient burden for the left - not to mention he is a convicted criminal - and has been discarded by most.
The only person that still loves Lulla, if he can be referred to as a 'person', is Terry F*ckTwitt, the sockpuppet ....so much so, he has a collection of Lulladolls in his underground home.
As far as 2022 goes, Moro “could” be a candidate...if he wants to face the task of trying to place some order in the whorehouse, and provided his opponents - who are scared shitless of him - manage to bar his candidacy.....completely anticonstitutional, but in this whorehouse, everything is possible.
No doubt there will some leftist candidates - excluding the 9-fingered toad, because as the law stands today, he can never run for elective office again - but as many of the voters here think with their stomach, not with their brain, Bolsonaro has a good chance.

Well, my ears perked up, and I asked what they were like. He looked at me like I was an idiot...“Uh...they are like pork chops, only smoked.”
Not exactly...I learned they need to be finished on the grill — and they taste sort of like a cross between a really good chop and thick cut bacon. Needless to say, I am all in on something like that.
So yesterday in the afternoon, I grilled them myself — the fat on the outside of the chops were sort of crispy...more like pork belly than bacon, and the lean meat in the middle was just great. Lightly smoked and nicely seasoned with salt, which is vital on pork. I had never seen or heard of anything like it. (The butcher shop smoked the whole loin, which I think is the way to do it instead of smoking individual chops, because they will get too smoky. The big question is how much of a cure do they get; a few days in salt and maybe pepper, or a full bacon cure?)
Jack, I think you would agree — that a full bodied red wine is essential for pairing with this wonderful pork.
We're really enjoying the renovated farmhouse, although we still are in the process of addressing the enormous old living-room still being used as a workshop. (Madame has fallen in love with the redecorating and really enjoys the bathrooms.)

I would instead prefer to focus on today's déjeuner — which again will be grilled smoked pork chops, which taste sort of like a cross between a really good chop and thick cut bacon. They are amazingly delicious with the fat on the outside of the chops being sort of crispy, like pork belly than bacon, and the lean meat in the middle with a lightly smoked flavor and aroma.
I'm also planning grilled sweet red onions that beautifully go with the pork — drizzled with a splash of balsamic vinegar. I already pulled the cork of a '08 Viña Santa Rita Casa Real Merlot which is incredibly smooth yet with intense flavor.
This morning, ma mariée baked another olive sourdough baguette and prepared a baby Romaine salad with cherry tomatoes and sliced paper thin radishes. (She's today intensely focused on the final decorating touches to the bedrooms, and the lighting.)
The weather today in the valley is absolutely gorgeous!

Yesterday our company went through a government health inspection, and because in-part we hired a dedicated employee to manage all the irrational and ever changing guidelines — our small family farm was given the highest approval. (We've been blessed to have hired a charming Venezolana, who graduated from the Universidad Simón Bolívar in healthcare — that has been dedicated to government regulations.)
She doesn't worry about masks or social distancing, but instead focuses upon routine hand washing with soap. As of this date, of 61 permanent employees — we've had not one employee that has fallen ill to COVID19, yet we know damn well that three other employees, as well as my youngest daughter, my wife and myself — all have tested with antibodies from an earlier asymptomatic infection. The question I have is how many more of my countrymen are in a similar situation?
According to Chilean statistics: we've had 382,111 confirmed cases and 10,340 deaths in a country of roughly 19 million. Over 99% of the deaths have occurred in the elderly and unhealthy individuals of our population.
This “flatten the curve” theory has turned into a months long economic disaster that has ruined the lives of countless millions and we will see a terrible price paid for not attending to regular medical checkups as well as many children negatively affected by the lack of a traditional education.
Despite your thoughts, we should adopt the Swedish model of embracing the herd immunity philosophy.

Madame DeFarge remains in an enchanting and pleasant mood (which keeps me on edge) — ma mariée's le déjeuner today was a simple poulet rôti with Belgian style crisp pommes frites accompanied with a shallot mayonnaise. It's a cooler day, but we're enjoyed a beverage of fresh made naval orange/lemonade from our own trees — c’est incroyable, non? (Wine WILL pour at sunset.)
As I've mentioned before, I served in the signals corps and Fuckwitt's claims to serving in the Cuba Missile Crisis alone was obvious bullshit, but his inability to fake knowing Morse code was just over the top. Your diagnoses of interpreting Gollum as Terry Fuckwitt was absolutely spot on!

Our avocado crop will be the largest of our family history and the USA market is reporting record prices where all our exports are destined. We've almost accomplished planting the red seedless vines and will begin with the green seedless next week.
Today's ma mariée's le déjeuner was simply thinly roasted veal on green olive sourdough baguettes with Pyrenees Piquillo and Espelette pepper spread. (I adore really good sandwiches!)
Our neighbors on the other side of the Andes are currently in a serious upheaval and I worry we may also see some unrest manifest here as well. People are chafing against the COVID19 lockdown regulations, which is extremely upsetting to people trying to earn a living.
As I've said several times — Latin America needs to adapt to the Swedish model and embrace a herd-immunity philosophy, because we cannot afford lockdown procedures that have the wealth to afford to. Wearing a mask with isolation for almost the entire public is unrealistic and fails to serve the needs of the working classes and the poor.
Chile endured the 1968-69 “Hong Kong flu” and tens of thousands died here, but the government did not shut down our economy — nor did the rest of the world.
The Chilean Ministerio de Salud actually advised the public yesterday that the National Independence Day celebrations (September 18th) may need to be cancelled this year. I've already announced that we will have ours, no matter what the government rules and will pay the fines and penalties. This “flattening of the curve” philosophy is absolutely insane.

Finally, I've returned to Chicureo after quite a long absence. The Carabineros were very polite, but the ridiculous health inspector at the toll station was starting to become pretentious until I pulled out all my documents showing I had a valid permission. This stupid pandemic lockdown is infuriating and highly overall detrimental.
Madame has two of our oldest grandchildren here for the weekend and their both glued to their smartphones. We're taking them hiking tomorrow in the hills.

A really beautiful Winter day here in Chicureo and we're having a lot of fun with our two oldest grandchildren for the weekend.
We grilled freshly ground sirloin steak to make hamburger patties and served them on fresh baked sourdough bread, combined with a mild melted jack cheese, tomato and avocado and home made mayonnaise. Of course served with Madame's Belgian pomme frites.

Unlike the cold temperatures you're experiencing — weather here is phenomenally outstanding — almost Summer! Also, the government has finally allowed the opening of the El Colorado ski resort — so Madame, my youngest daughter and I will be skiing there starting Tuesday. Although Valle Nevado remains closed, our apartment is just a short drive away and the snow conditions are certainly the best in a decade.
I've never had the opportunity to try red wine from New Zealand, but I've had their really outstanding whites!

It is known as F*ckwittvid 19 (aka Gollumvid). Believe me, a nasty little creature, a piece of shite wrapped in a coat of slimy protein.
Many top scientists have tried to find a vaccine against it, but...up to now, no luck.
Anyway, like any virus, the F*ckwittvid needs a host to replicate, and the FWT thought it could replicate itself through Long Dong and the Lulla doll, but due to the fact the FWT is as thick as pigshit, when he heard that 'mutation' was the name of the game, he understood 'mutilation'....thus the unfortunate incident with Long Dong, who after that became known as Short Dong......Similarly with Humpty-Dumpty, with whom they failed when they “tried to put him together again”, they were unable to stitch Dong's dong back on.
I wonder if that incident has anything to do with the increase in sales of inflatables in that remote location in Canada ?
But getting back to less hilarious situations, such as the pinot-noir, it was pretty damned good....it was a 2014 vintage, so let it breath for 20 minutes in the decanter, and by the aroma was easy to it opened up very nicely. The label was “Ara”, from Malborough.
I have a good friend who lives (lived ?) in Vitacura, and his son was the oenologist at Juanicó, in Uruguay for a few years. It was funny how I found out - round about 2010, went to a special tasting of a vertical selection of Juanicó's top wine, “Prelúdio” ; Later on, when reading the invitation's small print, I saw that the oenologist who presented the wines had the same British surname as my friend in Chile....So, a couple of years later, when in Santiago (March 2013), I met up with him and his wife, and during dinner (at the “Mestizo” in Vitacura), I asked if he was related to the oenologist....he said “sure, he's my son”....small world.

Vitacura is a very pleasant neighborhood and many of the restaurants there are outstanding!
