Lawmaker Gavin Short rose at the Falkland Islands elected Legislative Assembly this week and asked MLA Teslyn Barkman if she was “aware of any farms that have been unable to sell their wool clip either fully or partially this season.” Read full article

    Strange comment about freight rates from Barkman when global container freight rates have been on the slide downwards for the last six months and a recent article confirmed contra t rates had reduced by 30% in the last couple of months. Maybe Ms Barkman's information is a bit out of date.
    Are Falkland wool shipments sent as ordinary bales or are they able to use dumping machines - double dumping should be possible, at least (triple dumping can be a risky process)?
