OK, Bolsonaro's big mouth contributed largely to that, but the simple fact that Nine-Fingers, instead of a 3rd option, was voted in, signals a not-too-intelligent population.

Regardless, if Milei gets in, and re-thinks his somewhat radical stances on certain issues, he could be a relatively good leader.. Time will tell.

We strolled along the main avenue to a favorite restaurant that was open (today is a holiday) where we both ordered Sole Meuniere.
It was slightly crispy, covered with brown butter witch witch was infused with lemon, parsley and capers along with buttered parsley potatoes and artichokes accompanied with a marvelous Chile “champagne”.

I feel I'm gonna have to translate the 2nd paragraph of the “O Globo” article for you :

They sure did....two - First, the STF’s decision to revoke specific jurisprudence established Nov 2016 - whereby the defendant was obliged to start serving the sentence immediately after conviction in a collegiate court - was obviously intended to benefit Lula.
The timing (Nov 2019) as well....clearly planned to allow Nine-fingers to run for president.
The second decision - to declare Curitiba the wrong jurisdiction (in April 2021, 8 x 3) after they themselves had decided (in 2014) that it was the competent jurisdiction to investigate the Lavajato - was just a cheap gimmick to enable the STF to annul the trial.
And, instead of designating a new jurisdiction / judge, they allowed the accusations to prescribe.
Sure says a lot about the credibility of the Supreme Court, most members of which ruled based on their political views
