Turkey rejects scrapping Brazilian air carrier because of undeclared hazardous materials

The decommissioned Brazilian navy air carrier Sao Paulo, originally the Foch, a French Clemenceau-class carrier, built in the late 1950s and commissioned in 1963 is being towed back to Rio do Janeiro, unable to reach Turkey to be scrapped.

RAF AirTanker heading to Brize Norton from MPA lands in Rio do Janeiro

An Airbus A330-200 from AirTanker, on contract with the Royal Air Force (RAF), has reportedly made an unscheduled landing at the Galeao airport in Rio do Janeiro. The aircraft took off from the Falkland Islands on Friday (09/09) afternoon, on a regular flight to Brize Norton, with a stopover in Cape Verde, but ended in Rio.

Wind energy and green hydrogen projects in Rio Grande do Sul target 13% of power demand

The Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul has signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Neoenergia, a subsidiary of the Spanish giant electricity energy corporation Iberdrola, for the development of offshore wind power, plus a project for the production of green hydrogen.

The public hearing for the privatization of Brazil's largest and most dynamic port terminal has been again postponed, for a third time, following on an announcement from the Brazilian National Social Development Bank (BNDES). The purpose of such an action, referred to the Port of Santos, is to give time to more recommendations from the private sector to improve tender conditions.
