Falklands' civilian population with no Covid-19 cases; normal return to schools and nurseries

Given the successful compliance of self-isolation and social distancing and other measures implemented by the Falkland Islands Government, FIG, the civilian population of the Islands remains with no positive cases of coronavirus, according to the Monday situation report.

Falklands' eases restrictions for schools, nurseries, businesses and FIG, beginning May 11th

The Falkland Islands Government on Friday announced it will be easing some restrictions in its response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The steps, approved by Executive Council, will over coming days include reopening schools and nurseries, permitting greater social mixing, and allowing non-essential work and activities with some exceptions.

Falklands goal to keep Islands Covid-19 free: testing facility should be running by next week

Falkland Islands lawmaker MLA Barry Elsby called for efforts to focus on keeping the country as Covid-19 free as possible.
