  The Falkland Islands Election is scheduled for Thursday, November 4th. So far MP has published the manifestos of the four candidates for the three benches corresponding to the Camp Circumscription in the Legislative Assembly.

  Falklands election: manifestos of the four Camp candidates

  

  The Falkland Islands are scheduled for next Thursday 4 November and four are the candidates for the three benches that represent the Camp constituency at the Legislative Assembly. Candidates are Ana Crowie running for the first time, John Birmingham who is a former lawmaker of the Legislative Council, before it became the Legislative Assembly, plus Ian Hansen and Teslyn Barkman, both running for reelection.   Fragments of Argentine aircraft downed in Falklands donated to museum

  

  British soldier David Richardson, who found the fragments of a downed Argentine Air Force Dagger downed by a British Harrier during the 1982 Falklands War, has donated the items to be exhibited at a museum in the province of Córdoba, Argentine ambassador to the United Kingdom, Javier Figueroa announced.

  Last Man Standing: A talk with the captain who spent 688 days on board a longliner

  

  688. That is the number of days that the captain of the FV Nordic Prince, Arvid Olai Mjønes, spent on board the vessel without returning home. On the final leg of the voyage, the Norwegian captain spoke to MercoPress on board the vessel in the port of Montevideo and shared his experience during the Patagonian Toothfish fishing season in the Ross Sea during the Covid-19 pandemic.

  Falklands' decisive in supplying Covid-19 vaccines to BAS Antarctic base Rothera

  

  The BBC has reported that nine months after it was rolled out, the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine has finally reached the Antarctic. It was flown in, via the Falkland Islands, this week to immunize the 23 staff members who've been keeping the British Antarctic Survey, BAS, Rothera research base running through the polar winter.

  Falklands ends a great performance, as the Manchester curtain comes down

  

  The curtain came down in Manchester on Wednesday, putting an end to the 2021 main English political parties conferences, with the Falkland Islands delegates and stand performing an excellent campaign, ahead of the Climate Change summit to be held in Glasgow hosted by London, and the coming events of next year when the Falklands will be “Looking Forward at 40”.
