  The Falkland Islands Government, as part of its continuing efforts to contribute to the worldwide Coronavirus relief response, it has made a further donation of £5,000 to Centro de Promoción por la Dignidad Humana (CEPRODIH), based in Uruguay.

  Falklands governor dissolves the Legislative Assembly and tries a cueca on a crutch

  

  Busy days for the Falkland Islands Governor Nigel Phillips CBE, despite his plastered left leg and crutch. Last Friday morning he signed the proclamation to dissolve the Legislative Assembly and the writ to instruct that election take place in six weeks, next November 4.

  On Wednesday 22 September, ExCo agreed to revise its policy in connection with the categories of visitors allowed entry into the Falkland Islands. This decision was taken as part of the government’s regular review of ongoing pandemic management plans.

  After Argentine President, Alberto Fernández appointed Daniel Filmus as Science Minister, the position of Malvinas Islands Secretary had been vacant until Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero announced Friday he had chosen former Mendoza National Deputy Guillermo Carmona for the job.

  Falklands' makes charitable donation to Falklands Veterans Foundation
