    Families Commission make whistle-stop visit to Falkland Islands.

    A group of nine people representing the Argentine Families Commission, the architects responsible for designing the Darwin Memorial and the businessmen who will be funding the project today visited the Falkland Islands for a whistle-stop series of meetings with the local authorities and the construction firm working on this project.

    Imaginative Falklands biography project Lives marching through five centuries

    A remarkably ambitious project to create a comprehensive Dictionary of Falklands Biography (DFB), telling the life story of everyone of significance or interest connected with the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, has been officially launched by former Falkland Islands Governor, David Tatham.
    He has appealed to anyone who can contribute ideas or information to contact him.

    Darwin Monument moves one step nearer completion

    Members of the Argentine Families Commission responsible for the co-ordinating the projected monument to the Argentine war dead to be built at the Darwin Cemetery hope to visit the Islands next week to put the finishing touches to the paperwork, sign an agreement with a local construction company and set the next stage of this project in motion.
