  Princess Anne leads Remembrance ceremony at Falklands Liberation Memorial

  

  Busy agenda for Princess Anne on her first day of activities in the Falkland Islands, where she arrived on Thursday for a six-day visit. In a beautiful sunny Friday morning Princess Royal, marked the 40th anniversary of the Falklands' conflict with a special wreath-laying ceremony at the 1982 Liberation Memorial in Stanley.

  It's official, the Falkland Islands have a new Governor, and the first woman to occupy that position, Ms. Alison Blake CMG. The governor designate for the Falkland Islands, and Commissioner of South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Ms. Blake took the oath of office on Saturday morning at the Court and Assembly Chamber.

  Tierra del Fuego addresses Malvinas Question issues and blasts appointment of “colonial governor Alison Blake”
