After the royal couple held a Christmas party for RAF families at Kensington Palace, one of the guests spoke of her conversations with William and Kate – revealing that the pair had decided to get the dog to help Kate cope while William was away in the Falklands Islands.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third child, Kensington Palace has announced. In a statement the palace said the duchess was suffering from severe morning sickness, as she did with her previous pregnancies, so a public engagement she had later on Monday had been cancelled.

The fourth in line to the throne will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge. She was born on Saturday in the Lindo Wing of London's St Mary's Hospital weighing 8lbs 3oz (3.7kg).
Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate are expecting their second baby, his office announced on Monday. The baby will be fourth-in-line to the British throne, after grandfather Prince Charles, father William and elder brother George, the couple's first child who was born in July last year.
All Commonwealth realms have agreed to press ahead with a bill ending discrimination against women in the succession to the British throne. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said the government would now introduce the Succession to the Crown Bill in the House of Commons as soon as possible.It means the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will become monarch, whether a boy or a girl.
