  Falkland Islands Holdings sales up despite slowing down of the Islands economy

  

  Falkland Island Holdings PLC announced on Monday that its pre-tax profit increased slightly in its first half as strong sales at the company's London-based Momart operations offset increased costs at its Falkland operations. The international services group, which focuses on transport and logistics, said its underlying profit before tax was up 14.8% to £ 1.37 million for the six months ended September 30 compared to £ 1.19 million the previous year.

  Falkland Islands’ oil industry associate begins offshore production from Israel’s major gas deposits

  

  Houston based Noble Energy which also has interests in the Falkland Islands oil industry announced this week that the Tamar natural gas field offshore Israel has been successfully brought online with all five of the sub-sea wells now producing at stable rates totalling approximately 300 million cubic feet per day.

  US oil company team visit Falklands to assess industry’s infrastructure support

  

  US based Noble Energy and farm-in partners with Falkland Islands Oil and Gas (FOGL) visited the Falklands to meet with their partners and the Falklands government and to assess in-situ the oil related infrastructure.
