  Falkland Islands responds to Argentina’s decision to end the “Foradori-Duncan Pact”

  

  Members of the Legislative Assembly are disappointed to hear of Argentina’s decision to put an end to the “Foradori-Duncan Pact” of 2016. This pact looked at improving relations on trade and security between the UK and Argentina but it also ensured the agreement to identify the remains of the unknown Argentine soldiers buried near Darwin.

  Falklands receive batch of Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines; fishing vessels crews immunized

  

  The Falkland Islands Government has received a batch of Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, supplied by the UK government. These 960 doses arrived on 12 August and are being rolled out as part of the ongoing vaccination programme which began in February.

  Falkands: Successful repatriation flight to Punta Arenas

  

  The repatriation flight organised by the Falkland Islands Government arrived this morning, 31 July 2020, from Punta Arenas, Chile returning two Falkland Island residents to the Islands, and departing with 30 passengers on-board.

  Falklands after UK quarantine waiver because there are no Covid-19 cases in the Islands

  

  The Falkland Islands Government has confirmed that it has asked UK authorities to waive quarantine requirements for Falkland Islands residents travelling to UK. The move comes as surveillance swabbing continues to return negative results. To date, 413 PCR tests have been carried out in the Falklands, all resulting in negative results.

  CPC/CPA conference opened in Uganda; Falklands' delegation attending

  

  The Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) has kicked off Monday morning at the Speke Resort Munyonyo. Uganda, with closed meetings of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) regional secretaries. A delegation from the Falkland Islands is attending the meeting.
