    Boeing said Monday it had struck a multibillion-dollar deal with Chile's LAN Airlines that includes 32 787 Dreamliners, the largest order for its new plane in Latin America. The order includes 26 of the fuel-efficient Dreamliners and six more leased from International Lease Finance Corp.

    Battling her way through 800 miles of ferocious seas between the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, the Royal Navy Atlantic South patrol and an auxiliary vessel carried out this month a disaster relief exercise based around a typical South Atlantic cruise vessel visiting South Georgia and which supposedly had ran aground in deteriorating weather.

Argentina's air rates are also among the cheapest in the “inter-regional” and international flights to United States and Europe says the report which monitored rates during the first six months of this year.

    Successful LAN business plan exceeds expectations

    LAN Chile officials disclosed this week that its plan to increase air traffic by 50 percent through the addition of new daily flights was too low an estimate. Halfway through the plan's implementation – which will run through the end of 2008 –LAN officials now believe that the actual figure will be 65 percent by the time the plan is fully applied.
