@1 Who would have thought that a small rock in the mediterranean would have such established and prominent coverage by the South Atlantic News Agency. Dunno. Which small rock are you referring to? Gibraltar isn't an island. You could call it a promontory or a peninsula. But NOT an island.

It is one thing being pedantic, but @1 didn't refer to Gibraltar being an island he said it was a small rock in the Med.....which it is!
.....unless of course that water lapping at it's shores is not the Med...
I'd query the use of small as an adjective. Given that there are a grand total of seven skyscrapers that are actually taller than Gibraltar, I would suggest that it is actually quite a big rock.
