You have to take your hat off to Spain and Argentina, they have raised the profile of the BOT's in a way they could never have achieved on their own.

Who would have thought that a small rock in the mediterranean would have such established and prominent coverage by the South Atlantic News Agency.

    Quite remarkable.

Would it not be ironic for Gibraltar football team, to beat the Spanish team at its first meeting,

    Still
Will Man United Gibraltar reach the final,
We doubt it, but hey its only football ,

And a great future awaits them…

@1 “Who would have thought that a small rock in the mediterranean would have such established and prominent coverage by the South Atlantic News Agency.” Dunno. Which “small rock” are you referring to? Gibraltar isn't an island. You could call it a promontory or a peninsula. But NOT an island.

It is one thing being pedantic, but @1 didn't refer to Gibraltar being an island he said it was a small rock in the Med.....which it is!
.....unless of course that water lapping at it's shores is not the Med...

@3 Britworker did not say that Gibraltar was an island. So why do you ask which 'small rock' he is referring to? Your comment is nonsensical.

I'd query the use of “small” as an adjective. Given that there are a grand total of seven skyscrapers that are actually taller than Gibraltar, I would suggest that it is actually quite a big rock.
