#1 Yeah, I don't get your comment.
Apr 10th, 2014 - 02:08 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Gibraltar and Malta have many similarities including a similar shared history with the UK. If Gibraltar decides to go down the route of full independence Malta will become a key ally, perhaps not militarily, but certainly diplomatically (esp. if Gibraltar becomes a full member of the EU).
Did not see the Italians or anyone else falling overthemselves to reclaim sovereignty of Malta.
Apr 10th, 2014 - 03:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Malta, an ideal example of what a small population, inhabiting their own home, can do, if you just leave them to get on with it.
The Maltese, along with Genoans and Morrocans are amount the largest minorities in a Gibraltar. I say minorities because all the ethnic groups are minorities in Gibraltar with the British and Spanish being the largest minorities.
Apr 10th, 2014 - 05:38 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Of course all the minorities are opposed to Spanish oppression of a Gibraltar.
I think Conquerer only read the headline, and not the content.

Apr 11th, 2014 - 10:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0Let's compare Malta with Argentina:
- Strongest Economy: Malta
- Highest HDI: Malta
- Lowest income inequality: Malta
- Highest life expectancy: Malta
- Best weather: Malta
All these despite being continuously bombed/shelled in the 1940s.
