It has taken 15 years just to get to this point, waiting for the end of the World Cup and some BRICS grandstanding is hardly an issue really.

I do not know if it is possible, however Mercosur could sign a free trade agreement with Germany only.

    Bras.
'Mercosur could sign a free trade agreement with Germany only.'

This recipe for 'Bilateral' partnerships obviously gives
The UK and Germany the opportunity for linking with Brasil,
    Bulgaria with Bolivia,
    Venezuela with Estonia,
    Scotland (?) with Paraguay, and
    Argentina with Spain.

    Yup, it's a recipe, Bras.;
but it's not an agreement between trading blocs.

World's leaders are responsible for their and world countries economics and business. They are paid by its government to serve and foe manage the country best interest, and overall to make sure their people brings food to the table to feed the family.
But, as we know, world leaders put priority to the World Soccer Games instead. They delay on their country's projects and responsibilities by not considering, that businesses are first and games are in second place.
I wish such feelings and emotions are discussed and make a reality facts when dealing to end world famine, to cut for ever local and international corruption and eliminate money laundering to balance it out on equal worth distribution instead, education and job opportunities.
World leaders are paid for their services , but they do not fulfill such services as they were originally committed to do it.
Should they salaries be reduced? and such savings should be refunded to their people?

Not sure how you can negotiate a free trade accord when Argentina is blatantly obstructing free trade with the Falkland Islanders (who come under commercial protection of the EU). Our UK FCO needs to step upto the plate here doesnt it

    We reap what we sow

    German Chancellor Angela Merkel
has already put Cameron in his place,
and will put Germanys mark on this deal,

A united unelected gravy train is steamrolling over everybody,
and the south Americans may well end up like parts of bad dysfunctional corrupted Europe.
    just my opinion.
