Argentina's secretary for Issues relative to the Malvinas Islands Daniel Filmus visited this week Guatemala as part of a tour of Central America to promote the 'Malvinas cause' and collect support from regional governments and institutions.
Filmus first stop in Central America was in Nicaragua where the government of president Daniel Ortega ratified full support for Argentina's sovereignty claim over the Falklands/Malvinas.
In Guatemala City, Filmus was received by the Central American parliament, Parlacen, which includes lawmakers from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
The Argentine roaming diplomat was received by the Parlacen president Armando Bardales Paz (Honduras), Vice-president Rafael Espada (Guatemala), besides members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Guillermo Daniel Ortega Reyes (Nicaragua) and Guatemalan former president Alvaro Colom.
Filmus recalled that Parlacen recently approved a statement in support of Argentina and its legitimate sovereignty claim over Malvinas and the request to establish 10 June as 'Malvinas Solidarity Day'.
The initiative is evidence of the solidarity and international support for the Malvinas Question and the demand from the region's countries for the UK to sit and dialogue with Argentina, said Filmus who added that Parlacen also approved a declaration in support of Argentina in its fight with the 'vulture funds' or holdouts.
Finally Filmus was the main speaker at a conference on the Malvinas Question at the Political Science Departments from the San Carlos and Landivar universities.

Looks like Feel-Me is getting a tad deperate with his non-sensical 'claims'.
S0, now ' international support ' means more than one tin-pot banana republic tentatively supports a call for dialogue?
Great achievement eh? Senor Filmus?
Nothing has changed.
Distraction.
