Chinese markets volatility continue despite government measures

Chinese stocks plunged Tuesday after mixed fortunes Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index tumbling 3.2% at opening. The Shenzhen Component Index also opened 3.4% lower and the ChiNext Index, tracking growth enterprises, opened 3.8% lower.

Caricom supports Guyana in border dispute with Venezuela, but there's also Petro Caribe

President Nicolas Maduro announced Monday that he was recalling Venezuela's ambassador in neighboring Guyana for consultation amid mounting tensions over their disputed border. During an address to parliament, Maduro said that he also is initiating a comprehensive review of relations with much smaller Guyana and reducing the size of Venezuela's embassy there.
