We can only hope the visit goes smoothly and with no attempted politicizing......and that they are all back home before the annual “celebrations” on 2 April.

This event should be managed from start to finish by the Falkland Islands authorities. Relations of the identified Argentine soldiers buried in their cemetery should be treated with utmost respect and sympathy. No political or other “games” should be permitted by any of the visitors. Raising of the Argentine flag should only be permitted in the confines of the cemetery.

And all visitors should retire, or be retired, in the event that propaganda demonstrations should be attempted.
