The question is why is this piece appearing in Mercopenguin, a British government propaganda organ supposedly devoted to America, South America and the “South Atlantic”?

The important thing is to stop being a “net contributor”. If europe wants anything, it should pay. Up front. Thus, european country wants information. The price starts at £10,000. If european country wants assistance, the price starts at £50,000. If european country wants assistance involving actual UK assistance, the price starts at actual cost plus £100,000. Love to be a “fly on the wall” when a european country asks for UK police to arrest someone. After taking into account the salaries of, say, 50 police men and women plus costs of radio transmissions plus fuel and depreciation costs plus the costs of the judiciary, doubt if there would be much change out of £500,000.
